Eastern Lift Truck has finalised the purchase of McCall Handling, one of the oldest Hyster forklift dealerships in the United States.

The acquisition means Eastern is the sole designated Hyster forklift dealer (in addition to being the sole Yale dealer) in Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC, Northern Virginia and the panhandle counties of West Virginia.

Dan Pruitt, president of Eastern Lift Truck, says both companies have rich traditions and are completely dedicated to customer service. Eastern will move its Baltimore operations to 8801 Wise Ave, Dundalk, Maryland and convert the facility in Halethorpe into a hub for its growing dock and door division.

Family-owned Eastern recently expandedits operations, taking on distribution of the Polaris range of commercial vehicles, including Pro XD all-terrain utility task vehicles (UTVs); GEM street-legal, all-electric, low-speed vehicles (LSVs); and Taylor-Dunn materials handling utility vehicles, stock chasers, tow tractors and personnel carriers.
