Chinese state-owned equipment maker HELI (Anhui Heli), has released its financial results for H1 and reports sales for the January 1 to June 30 period were 258,000 units, an increase of 22% year-on-year (y-o-y).

Heli reports sharp revenue jump

Revenue for the period was CNY11.17 billion (USD1.67 billion), a jump of 12.11% y-o-y.

The company adds its electric forklift sales grew 33% in the period, with electric models accounting for 74% of total unit sales. It did not state what this revenue was worth.

Overseas business accounted for 45% of total revenue for HELI in H1 with more than 90,000 units exported in the period, an increase of more than 20% y-o-y. It adds it maintains a “strong presence in more than 30 countries and regions”.

Heli states that revenue from components and after-market services grew by more than 20% in the period, “further expanding Heli’s business beyond complete machines”.

In H1, HELI's European R&D centre recruited experienced local professionals to support product and technology development for regional markets, while the company also unveiled an embodied-intelligence robot, expanding its work in emerging intelligent technologies.

“Key technologies, including integrated electric drive systems and high-performance electro-proportional hydraulic systems, continued to move from development to commercial application,” it states.

“From strengthening its core business to advancing technology and building local capabilities overseas, HELI is laying the groundwork for its next stage of global growth — growing with markets, not simply selling into them.”
