Liftomatic Material Handling, Inc., offers a completely mechanical forklift attachment which fits directly to the forks of any standard lift truck for handling 30, 55 and 85 gallon steel drums. The attachment uses Liftomatic's exclusive "Parrot-Beak?" clamping system and cushioned belt cradles to safely engage steel open top and tight head drums weighing up to 1500 pounds (680Kg) per drum. The model- FTA, requires no hydraulic or electrical connections to operate. With few moving parts, the units are completely safe, reliable in all plant operations, and require very little in the way of maintenance. Weather-Beak? coating on the Parrot-Beak allows the units to be used with any weather or climate conditions and exposure to chemical or residues is never a problem. Single and double drum units with 1500 pound per-drum capacities are available. Optional spark-resistant clamps and EE/EX configurations are also available from the company.
