HANGCHA GROUP CO., LTD.

Hangcha Forklift Canada has closed two new contracts valued at more than USD1.5 million marking what the company calls a “major milestone” in its five-year history.

The deals, with automative component manufacturer Mitchell Plastics and wooden pallet supplier Woodbridge Pallet, were secured through its 17-strong dealer network across Canada.

One of the two agreements, established in partnership with Integralift Sales & Services, was for 22 lithium-ion units including 17 narrow-aisle pantograph reach trucks, three three-wheel electric forklifts and two four-wheel electric cushion tyre forklifts to Mitchell Plastics.

The second deal was in partnership with Ri-Go Lift truck to supply Woodbridge Pallet with 10 high-voltage lithium battery forklifts. It is the largest order Hangcha Canada has received for the high-voltage forklifts.

Woodbridge Pallet’s senior buyer Terence van Rooyen explains the new equipment will help it realise its environmental targets.

“Sustainability is at the heart of what we do—providing eco-friendly pallet solutions helps our customers reduce their environmental impact,” he adds. “Now, these high-voltage, electric trucks are bringing that same commitment to our own operations.

“Switching from propane-fired forklifts eliminates propane costs, reduces service costs, boosts productivity, and aligns with our vision for cleaner, more efficient operations and improved employee wellbeing.”
