Crown website back online
转载 2024-06-28 11:01American forklift maker Crown Equipment Corporation has managed to get its website back online after falling victim to “an international cybercriminal organisation”.
Crown was the victim of a cyberattack
The world’s fourth largest forklift manufacturer was hit by a cyber-attack on June 10 that sent all systems offline and halted production worldwide for more than a week.
In a brief statement last week, Crown said: “the company is working with some of the world’s leading cybersecurity experts as well as federal law enforcement to analyse the data and determine the appropriate next steps.
“Crown is also working closely with its customers to help reduce the effect the incident may have on their operations.”
A Crown spokesperson told Forkliftaction Newsthe company would provide an update on the situation later this week.
No information was provided about the status of the company’s manufacturing plants.
The Mercer County Outlookreported that Crown staff were due to return to work at the company’s New Bremen and Celina sites in Ohio on June 25.
Crown, founded in 1945, employs 19,600 people globally, has 24 manufacturing plants in 14 locations worldwide, including China, Mexico and Germany, and more than 500 retail locations in 80 countries.
