Forklift saves Christmas

The one-minute video, which has been posted on Youtube, shows a warning light going off on the dashboard of Santa’s sleigh.
After a hard landing in the sleigh near Comblift’s headquarters in Ireland, Santa leaps into a handy forklift to reload his gifts into a truck.
And then, of course, the Christmas magic happens and the gift run is underway once more.
Other companies that have gotten into the spirit of Christmas this month include British equipment maker JCB, which has so far collected 1,242 gifts in its annual Christmas toy appeal.
The gifts will be handed over to the NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children), the Stoke-on-Trent Hubb Foundation and Wrexham-based Yellow and Blue charity, for distribution to children at Christmas.
Employees at JCB’s plants in Rocester, Uttoxeter, Cheadle, Hixon, Foston and Wrexham all took part in the appeal, helping beat last year’s donation total of 1,000 gifts.
Meanwhile, American pallet and container maker Orbis is holding a Christmas family fundraiser, which supports 30 children in Wisconsin’s Waukesha and Jefferson counties each year.
Orbis staff fulfill children’s wish lists by purchasing, wrapping and delivering the gifts before Christmas.
