Founded by Chris Glaubitz in 2003, Provincial Lift Truck has grown to become a trusted supplier of materials handling equipment in the Kitchener area.
The acquisition by Leavitt Machinery, one of North America's largest materials handling equipment dealers, will increase internal infrastructure and resources to allow for future growth within Ontario.
Glaubitz says: "Over the past 18 years, we have built a stable business that our customer base has come to trust. Teaming up with Leavitt Machinery will allow us to better support our customers through technology, provide us with capital which will increase product and employee investment, and enable continued growth within Ontario."
Leavitt Machinery CEO Tom Leavitt comments: "Provincial Lift Truck has a great reputation in the materials handling industry for providing quality solutions for their customers. Their knowledgeable and dedicated team have helped them grow over the past 18 years.
We can provide significant resources to key areas of their business to help strengthen their market presence in the region.
"Our companies' cultures are aligned through kindred values, work ethic and the importance of safety and customer service.
"Our executive team is excited to have Provincial Lift Truck join our family."
Glaubitz will continue to oversee the Provincial Lift Truck business and its integration into the Leavitt business, according to Leavitt COO John Mutis. "Chris is a valuable addition to the team and it is our hope that Chris is with us for many years to come. His many years in the materials handling industry add tremendous value to our team."
For now, Provincial Lift Truck will continue to trade under its current branding, but over time, it is expected to move to co-branding.
