Linde Material Handling has been announced as a finalist for the Safety category at the FLTA awards.
The Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence (FLTA) is an annual event that recognises the best in industry through engineering and design excellence.
The awards aim to celebrate those in the fork lift truck sector who strive to raise standards in the industry, fr-om manufacturers and suppliers to apprentices and innovative products.
The results will be announced at a Gala dinner at the International Centre, Telford, on 30th March 2019.
Linde’s nomination for safety is in recognition of their new VertiLight feature which enhances safety when storing and retrieving goods for high-bay shelves.
The LED lights are arranged in a line and mounted onto the truck’s mast to provide maximum illumination of the working area fr-om floor to full lift height with glare-free and uniform lighting making load handling more efficient and safe.
The VertiLights can be individually adjusted to the specific requirement of the operating truck ensuring a universal increase in efficiency.Unlike normal truck lighting, VertiLight is similar to daylight reducing tiredness felt by truck operators and helping to minimise the risk of warehouse accidents.
David Bowen, Product manager – Warehouse at Linde Material Handling, said: “We are very proud to be nominated for the Safety category at the FLTA awards 2019.
