Perkins and Golden Arrow are celebrating 50 years of association between the two companies in 2014.

In 1964, Perkins appointed Newhaven based Golden Arrow as an official distributor for Perkins marine engines in the United Kingdom. Year on year Golden Arrow has continually grown, employing over 50 staff at four South coast locations (Southampton, Poole, Chichester and Portsmouth), and today it is one of the leading marine dealers for Perkins engines in the UK.

Perkins trusted reliable engines are the preferred choice for many powerboat operators and yachting enthusiasts, including high profile races such as the Clipper Round the World Race. Perkins aspires to reduce downtime over the life of an engine as operators and individuals depend on their Perkins powered yacht or powerboat to function when it is called upon.

“Perkins consistently delivers the power customers have come to depend on,” said Matt Wilson, sales and marketing manager at Perkins. “Long standing associations such as this highlight the good relationship we have with the Perkins dealers, and that Golden Arrow has with Perkins customers. We continue to work together because the customers keep coming back.”

Finning UK is the distributor for all Perkins marine engines in the UK and supplies 23 appointed dealers, of which Golden Arrow is one.

Golden Arrow will once again be displaying a range of Perkins engines at the PSP Southampton Boat Show from September, 12 to 21 2014 on stand E037.
