In light of Toyota Motor Corporation’s 75th anniversary, Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) celebrates its past by discussing highlights from the companies' common history on its social media channels

Toyota is one of the largest and most respected organisations – and brands – in the world. At the foundation of this reputation: Sakichi Toyoda - a man with a dream. Some nine decades back, he revolutionised the Japanese textile industry with his invention of the automatic loom; a steam-powered machine that could detect a broken thread and stop. Since then, Toyota has helped transform the manufacturing industry around the world, from textile machinery and automobiles to electronics and materials handling equipment.

Employing more than 700,000 worldwide in its 15 corporations, including Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Toyota Industries Corporation (TICO) to which TMHE belongs, the Toyota Group reflects the diversity of its activities.
