Toyota Material Handling Europe (TMHE) announces the Toyota Tonero diesel range of counterbalanced trucks from 1.5t to 3.5t with 8%* improved fuel consumption and lower CO₂ from 2013, offering efficient engine solutions for customers.

The achievement of the fuel consumption reduction and lowering of the CO₂ is achieved on the proven Toyota designed and manufactured 1DZIII industrial diesel engine. This 36kW diesel engine has been optimised for fuel efficiency with the integration of a new fuel injection pump to regulate with a higher efficiency the fuel used for the combustion process.

This engine complies with the latest 97/68/EC emissions regulations**.
The availability of this engine has been extended to all tonnages of the Toyota Tonero diesel models from 1.5 to 3.5 tonne lifting capacities.

Also, by extending this more fuel efficient diesel engine to all tonnages on 1.5-3.5 tonne, we are increasing the choice for our customers.”

With sustainability as a fundamental value of Toyota Tonero’s design, these trucks are designed and manufactured for 99% recyclability at end-of-life in Toyota’s ISO 14001-certified plant in Ancenis, France.
