Hewden expands telehandler and crane fleet
转载 2012-12-19 10:27 KHL Source:KHLHewden has expanded its rental fleet with 50 new JCB telehandlers and two all-terrain Terex-Demag cranes.
The telehandlers range in size from 7 m to 17 m and the mobile cranes are 80 t and 120 t models. Hewden’s largest current mobile is a 100 t model.
Mark Hogg, product performance director at Hewden, said: “We have selected the best products based on the clear preferences of our customers and are again working with best-in-class suppliers.
“Younger equipment is more technologically advanced and reliable, which ultimately equals more uptime for our customers and fewer breakdowns on site.
“We have seen the utilisation of our telehandlers remain consistent throughout the year, so now was the perfect time to invest.”
The purchase of the 80 t and 120 t cranes extends the lifting capacity of Hewden’s fleet, which was previously limited to 100 t. In addition, when loaded with full ballast, the 120 t crane can be used as a 140 t unit.
“The purchase of the 80 and 120 t units complements our existing crane fleet perfectly and means we can now cater for a more diverse range of lifting applications”, said Mr Hogg.
“Our level of investment is a clear indicator that we are determined to fill supply gaps in the market and provide a market leading service to our customers.”
The two cranes have been delivered and have already been out on hire. Full delivery of the telehandlers is due for completion in December 2012.
