Toyota shortlisted for forthcoming FLTA Awards 2013
转载 2012-12-18 14:58 shdlogistics Source:shdlogisticsToyota Material Handling UK has again been shortlisted in the coming FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence, this year appearing in two of the shortlist categories Safety and Ergonomics.
In the Safety Category the nomination was received for the year-long safety campaign - Taking Care with Toyota, while the Ergonomics Category has highlighted the BT Optio L series with smooth operator concept as a possible candidate for the title.
'Taking Care with Toyota' has been part of Toyota activity throughout the year and focuses on three key elements; people, products and process, in order to increase safety in the workplace and decrease the risk of accidents.
The BT Optio L series with smooth operator concept has been shortlisted for innovative design which aims to provide the best possible working conditions for operators. This product has already won an iF design award for innovation earlier this year.
The shortlist was announced earlier this month as judges decided on the highest quality candidates before opening the decision to the public. The winner of each category is decided by the voting public and will be announced on Saturday 16th February 2013 at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The awards are a highlight of the events calendar and as they are voted for by the materials handling community are a highly thought of achievement for all suppliers. During Forklift Safety Week earlier this year, Toyota Material Handling UK were also the headline sponsors of the FLTA Safety Conference, 26th September 2012. During the day Tony Dyer, training academy manager gave a presentation about Toyota Material Handling UK's year of safety Taking Care with Toyota and how the campaign has been used to promote safe working practices. Warehouse Product Manager, Mark Peters then gave a presentation on BT Reflex Shocks fitted as standard which was shortlisted in last year's FLTA Awards.
The FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence are an established and recognised seal of approval from the industry which have been running for over 15 years.
