Hangcha Group Co., Ltd., formerly known as Hangcha Forklift Factory, was established in 2000 after restructuring. Nowadays, Hangcha had developed to be a national high-tech enterprise, who had won the titles including the Most Competitive Enterprise Group in China, China Top 500 Manufacturing Enterprises, China Top 500 Civil-owned Enterprises, and China Top 100 Enterprises in Machinery Industry and Key Equipment Manufacturing Enterprises in Zhejiang Province.

•Leading in Domestic China and Targeting at the World

In Hangcha, the mainstay products were industrial trucks including forklifts and tractors, forming a product structure in full series and various kinds, comprising of 1-25 ton internal combustion forklifts, 1-5 ton battery forklifts, 1-8 ton internal combustion tractors, 2-25 ton electric tractors and forklifts specially used for containers.

In July, 2009, Hangcha moved to Lin’an Hangcha Industrial Park. There, Hangcha was equipped with advanced machinery processing and welding equipment, assembly lines, conveying system for spare parts, logistics distribution system, and also applied information technology—Enterprise Resource Planning, dramatically enhancing the strength of the enterprise in an all round way. Reasonable layout of the industrial park and sophisticated testing and checking equipment had not only enabled Hangcha Group to be the largest forklift manufacturing enterprise in China, but also realized the transfer from the traditional producing methods to modern manufacturing systems. Hangcha Group had been one of the leading forklift manufacturing enterprises in China, and it had successfully built up a developing platform to be a world class forklift manufacturer.
　　
In 2010, Hangcha sold 57,823 sets of forklifts, and the revenues of the whole Group broke through RMB 7 billion Yuan. Till 2011, Hangcha was expected to increase about 25% in terms of forklift sales amount and revenues when compared with the past 2010.
　　
•Relying on the Cooperation to Enter World Class

According to the data and anticipation from the Industrial Truck Institution, China Construction Machinery Association (CITA), the sales amount of powered industrial trucks in China in 2010 had reached 232,000 sets and it would increase to 400,000 sets by the year 2015. This would bring a more spacious marketing prospect for industrial truck industry.

On June 25, 2010, Premier of the State Council Wen Jiabao visited Hangcha, expressing his hope that Hangcha should be the best forklift enterprise in the world, which greatly encouraged the staff in Hangcha. Hangcha therefore made the overall goal for the twelfth five-year planning, in which the Group was expected to sell 120,000 sets of forklifts and export 30,000 sets of forklift by the year 2015 with a total revenue up to RMB 15 billion Yuan, striving to enter World Top Five to be a first-class forklift manufacturing enterprise in the international stage.

In order to realize this goal, Hangcha will strengthen the cooperation between the giant industrial truck manufacturers in the world in the coming years. The Group would fully enhance the ability on product development, technique and technology, production and management and quality control through various ways, such as introducing advanced technologies, establishing co-funded companies and cooperation with the leading enterprises to produce forklifts.

At present, Hangcha has been working together with Nissan Forklift in Japan to produce 1F series of internal combustion forklifts based on the normal production and operation, and been cooperating with Manitou in France to manufacture rough terrain forklift, telescopic forklift, electric scissor lift table and boom lift table. The Group plans to cooperate with an American forklift company to produce and sell port equipment such as empty container handler and container reach stacker, warehouse equipments such as electric handler and electric stacker. Moreover, Hangcha will also cooperate with world famous spare part manufacturers to produce high-end spare parts used on forklifts, tractors, engineering machinery and construction machinery, so as to narrow the gap in terms of key spare parts on industrial trucks between domestic market and those at the international advanced level.
　
•Marching Forward by Innovative Technology and Strong Development Ability

In recent years, Hangcha successfully developed alternative current (AC) variable frequency control system on electric forklifts, ex-proof technology on electric forklifts, and LCD instrument indication system, leading the whole industry and also filling in the blank in domestic China. In June, 2011, Hangcha Test & Checking Lab passed the final accreditation of China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (hereinafter referred to as CNAS), and officially was authorized with the CNSA accreditation certificate, becoming the first enterprise in domestic China that won the CNAS accreditation certificate in the field of forklift industry.
　
In the coming years, Hangcha will invest more on constructing large projects, including the production base for heavy-duty forklifts, logistics distribution center, technology building and testing and trial center in order to enhance their capacity of spare parts testing, forklift manufacturing and equipment assembling, sparing no effort to become the largest base for manufacturing container loading and unloading equipments in China, and also the largest base for developing and manufacturing forklifts and forklift parts in the global world. Besides, Hangcha will also start to build Hangcha High-Tech Industrial Park to build a new-type, eco-friendly and high-end base for developing and manufacturing the key spare parts specially used on the forklifts.
