International Power Transmission & Control Technique Exhibition Asia (PTC Asia 2011) and CeMAT Asia 2011, the fair for international logistics technology and transportation systems was grandly open in Shanghai New International Expo Center on October 25. Leaders from the related departments of the Government, superiors from the industrial associations, experts and professionals, journalists and guests at home and abroad attended the opening ceremony.
　　
The two exhibitions created another record this time. PTC Asia and CeMAT Asia 2011 attracted 1950 exhibitors and the exhibiting area reached 120,000 square meters with a year-on-year increase of 26%. Lasting for four days, these two exhibitions was expected to welcome more than 60,000 visitors from China and the world. Doctor Gu Qiao, a member of the Director Board of Deutsche Messe AG, said excitedly that along with the powerful development of the economy in China, the global suppliers had been continuously searching for new commercial opportunities on Chinese market full of energy and potentials. PTC Asia and CeMAT Asia 2011 had become the platform for the enterprises to explore and extend their markets in China.
　
This year was the 20th anniversary for PTC Asia, and the organizers specially held thematic exhibitions, separating five modules to conduct upgrades to the scale of the exhibition, which were respectively fluid power driving, mechanic driving and spare parts, compressed air technology, fastening parts and springs, bearings and special equipments. These thematic exhibitions had attracted more than 20% exhibitors compared with last year. 
　
As a high-end and professional exhibition that gathered the latest technologies, innovative concepts and services in the logistics field, CeMAT Asia 2011 divided the exhibition zones with different themes including packing machinery, hoisting machinery, automated guide vehicle (AGV) and conveying equipment, which were gathered together this year to become the highlights of the CeMAT Asia 2011 together with AUTO-ID Exhibition Zone that had been held twice in the past.

The increasing demands on the logistics systems in China had provided wide development spaces for the logistics system integration suppliers. At CeMAT Asia 2011, the logistics system integration suppliers and systematic solution suppliers brought their new technologies and exhibited their strength again to all the visitors.
　
As two leading exhibitions in the related field, PTC Asia and CeMAT Asia 2011 had a great opening. The square before the exhibition hall was crowded with visitors, and the negotiation atmosphere was harmonious inside the hall that was filled with well-arranged exhibition stands.
