This change only affects the North American market, the company will continue to offer its telehandlers, heavier excavators, dozers and graders in all other markets around the world.

While a little unexpected, this announcement is not surprising, the Fiat owned company which can trace its heritage back to Allis Chalmers and Fiat Allis struggles to market and support a full line in a market dominated by Cat and Komatsu and a number of bother local players.
The withdrawal of its telehandler line will have a negligible impact on the market, so no great reason for any competitors to celebrate. While it has a significant presence in some markets for its heavy equipment, one wonders how important it feels the construction related telehandler business is to its future market strategies?
