Toyota Forklifts Boost Productivity at Linfox
转载 2010-09-28 15:38 ferret Source:ferretOne of Australia's most successful privately owned logistics companies, Linfox has placed their largest-ever order for material handling equipment with Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA).
The massive Australia-wide MHE order is made up of a mixture of Toyota forklifts, BT pallet movers and Raymond high-lift reach trucks.
Significantly, the order contains a high proportion of three-wheel and four-wheel electric forklifts, drawn from the latest 8-Series range incorporating industry-leading safety features.
The order is the latest milestone in a growing relationship between the logistics giant and Toyota Material Handling Australia.
Linfox logistics chairman Peter Fox says that they place a great deal of accountability with their suppliers.
According to TMHA's executive director Steve Takacs, the common ownership by Toyota of all three forklift brands, Raymond, BT and Toyota was a big factor in streamlining the supply and importantly, the service chain.
The Linfox order leans towards Toyota's battery electric forklifts, a move Steve Takacs says leads an industry-wide trend based on the growing availability of clean energy.
According to Takacs, Linfox's order reflects the leading edge of industry demand on an environmental level and in terms of OH&S safety considerations as well.
Forklifts from the 8-series range feature the exclusive system of active stability (SAS) and Operator Presence Sensing (OPS) – essential for a company such as Linfox, which prioritises safety.
As the leading forklift company in Australia, TMHA was confident in its ability to provide Linfox with the safe, productive and environmentally-friendly material handling equipment.
The Linfox order includes 2.5-tonne payload 8FG25 and 3.5-tonne payload 7FG35 forklifts, BT Levio LWE140 ‘walkie’ electric pallet trucks as well as Raymond 7600 sit/stand reach trucks with a working height of 10 metres.
