Wuhu Ruichuang Forklift Started to Construct the New Plant
原创 2010-08-25 16:31 Forkliftnet Source:ForkliftnetIn June, 2010, Wuhu Ruichuang Forklift Co., Ltd. (belonging to Chery Automobile Co., Ltd.) rolled off their first batch of 1-10 tonnage forklifts. After successfully stepping into forklift industry, on August 16th, Ruichuang Forklift started to establish their project of 30000 sets of forklifts so as to further expand the production capacity.
The new plant of Ruichuang Forklift covers an area of 300 Mu. With total investment of RMB 600 million Yuan, the construction area of the plant reaches 110 thousand square meters. The whole project includes the workshops and R&D Building, of which the base project will be completed construction until the end of 2011. Once the first phase of the project put into operation, the production capacity of the plant will be 30000 sets of forklifts per year.
When receiving the interview, Yin Tongyue, the Chairman of the Board and General Manager of Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. said that through more than ten years’ development, Chery Automobile was able to produce drive system, matching system and technological system. At present, the forklift market is in a golden development period at a high speed both in China and abroad. Under such kind of development background, Chery will combine the technology and technique of manufacturing automobiles to produce forklifts and other construction machinery.

Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. was founded in 1997 by five of Anhui’s local state owned investment companies with an initial capitalization of RMB 3.2 billion. Plant construction commenced on March 18, 1997 in Wuhu, Anhui Province, China. The first car came off the production line on December 18, 1999. And on August 22, 2007, the one-millionth car of Chery rolled out the assembly line successfully, which signifies that Chery has already achieved its first-stage goal in the process of building a successful independent Chinese brand, and is now on its way to create a world famous brand through opening and innovation.
In 2006, Chery achieved a total sales volume of 305,200 units, representing an increase rate of 61.5% over 2005; and in 2007, the annual sales volume of Chery reached 381,000 units, increasing by 24.8% compared with 2006. In 2007 also, Chery achieved an annual export volume of 119,800 units. As a result, the overseas sales of Chery had doubled again with an increase rate of 132%, ranking 1st for 5 consecutive years in car export in China.
