On March 27th, President & COO of Cummins Joe Loughrey and Vice-President Steven Chapman arrived in Liuzhou to have a visit on Liugong.

It was the first time for Joe Loughrey to visit Liugong. He showed his acknowledgement and said that he has seen the strength and status of Liugong as the leading enterprise in Chinese Construction Industry through this visit. As a manufacturer, Liugong is a vital and energetic enterprise. Joe felt confident to the growth prospect of Liugong in this year. He said this visit was important for Cummins. As Liugong has proved its decision and confidence to enter international construction machinery market by attending Las Vegas Exhibition, he hoped to learn the method Liugong walked to the world and look for opportunity for cooperation through this visit.

Zeng Guang’an, President of Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. introduced to Joe Loughrey the development history, manufacturing layout, product series, market distribution and the situation of offices and branch companies Liugong set abroad. Relevant personnel of the two parties gave introduction of the proceeding situation of Six Sigma Program cooperated by Cummins and Liugong.

In 2007, Cummins reached sales amount of 13 billion dollars with annual productivity of 900,000 sets engines. In the beginning of this century, Liugong established strategetic cooperative partnership with Cummins. At present, Liugong has more than 20 models equipped with Cummins engines. The business relationship of the two parties will be upgraded into global cooperation as the speeding-up of Liugong’s internationalization and continuous increase of exporting high-end products.
