Redmond, Wash. (January 15, 2008) – Terex announced today that Bob Bartley has been appointed to the new position of Director of Field Service for the Terex Aerial Work Platforms (AWP) business. Terex AWP includes Genie Industries, Terex® Power Products and Terex Load King. In his new role, Bartley will oversee both field and factory service organizations for Terex AWP.
“Bob’s extensive industry experience, leadership skills and knowledge of our business are valuable assets to provide the best service to our customers,” said Bruce Taber, Sr. Director of Quality and After Market Support for Terex AWP. “He already has high respect from within the organization and with our customers so he is a natural fit for this role as we always aim to provide the most customer-focused service available.”
Terex AWP service experts are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, with a strong team of field service experts strategically located throughout North America. Bartley’s goal is to carry forth that tradition and to continuously look for improvements in the organization.
“When our customers do business with us, they get much more than a piece of equipment,” explained Bartley. “We understand our customers’ business and we are committed to their success. My goal is to make our service organization the most responsive and the easiest with which to do business in the industry.”
Bartley first joined Genie Industries in 2000 as a field service representative and was quickly elevated to the position of the Western Regional Service Manager for Terex AWP. Directly prior to joining Terex, Bartley spent 23 years as service manager for Adco Equipment and United Rentals. Adco was the largest independent aerial lift dealer in California until United Rentals purchased it 1998.
