- Employees of All Overseas Subsidiaries Including Bobcat and Babcock Come to Concert
Doosan (www.doosan.com) has invited more than 3,000 employees and their family members from both Korea and foreign countries to its 'New Year Concert 2008’, which will be held at 7:30pm on January 4 at the grand theater of Sejong Center.
The 16th New Year Concert will be attended by employees and their family members from all overseas subsidiary companies including Bobcat and two other business divisions under the management of Doosan Infracore International (CEO: David Rowles), which was established last year, Doosan Babcock UK (CEO: Iain Miller), which merged with Doosan in 2006, Doosan Hydro Technology (CEO: Ali Kalantar), which specializes in water treatment engineering in the U.S., and Doosan IMGB (CMO: Florin Antonescu), the largest casting and forging company in Rumania.
After the concert, they are scheduled to attend a number of meetings that concern them and also take a tour of the production facilities of other subsidiary companies like Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction and Doosan Infracore in Changwon and Incheon, respectively.
A spokesperson of Doosan said, "We are becoming a global company through a series of mergers and acquisitions and overseas marketing. As a global company, we have invited the employees of overseas subsidiaries to the New Year Concert."
Doosan has been hosting the New Year Concerts every year since 1992 in order to build trust and teamwork between the employees and their family members. As usual, the concert will include various music pieces performed by the Euro-Asian Philharmonic Orchestra under the conductor Nanse Gum.
