Ordinary Profit Up 63% YOY through 3Q07

Ordinary Profit: W292.6B? up 63% YOY
On a consolidated basis, Doosan Infracore achieved sales of over W3.23 trillion, operating profit of W297.3 billion and ordinary profit of 292.6 billion between January 1 and September 30, 2007. Sales showed balanced growth worldwide, including W1.02 billion from Korea (up 24% YOY), W744.6 billion from Europe (up 44% YOY) and W698.2 billion from China (up 40% YOY). Construction equipment sales were up 24% from a year earlier, while the company sold 31% more machine tools in the first nine months of this year than it did during the same period in 2006.
The sales figure through three quarters is 73% of the target for this year, and operating profit has already reached 77% of the 2007 goal. The company’s portfolio is even better in the fourth quarter; market share is increasing and highly profitable items are representing a greater percentage of total sales. For these reasons, Doosan Infracore officials are confident that the 2007 target will be reached without difficulty.
