Swisslog acquires Norwegian engineering company Collett AS

Swisslog has signed an agreement to acquire Collett AS, an engineering company specializing in pneumatic tubes systems based in Oslo, Norway.

Prior to the acquisition, Collett was already a partner of Swisslog’s Healthcare Solutions Division for planning, installation and customer support of pneumatic tube systems in Norway. "We are pleased to have the excellent team of Collett in our group, rendering us direct access to clients in the interesting Norwegian market for in-house logistics solutions", states Charlie Kegley, President of Swisslog’s Healthcare Solutions Division. "This acquisition forms part of our earlier communicated initiative within Healthcare Solutions to enhance our presence in promising European markets through selected acquisitions."

In 2006, Collett AS generated a turnover of MCHF 6.2. The acquisition remains subject to merger control clearance by the Norwegian Competition Authority.
