Qi Jun, the General Council of China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) expounded the development situation of construction machinery industry in China. He said that in general, the construction machinery market in China was insufficient in demands this year. The sales of the products such as excavators, loaders and forklifts were downward to different extent while the relatively less decline occurred in the field of industrial vehicles, which impressed the guests to know more about the construction machinery industry in China. Moreover, he looked forward into the future development of construction machinery industry, and put forward constructive suggestions on the industrial vehicle industry.

Secretary General of CITA Zhang Jie made an address in title of General Introduction on Domestic Industrial Vehicle Market in China, following the main topic of cooperation and competition to analyze the codependent, competitive and win-win relationships between international industrial vehicle market and Chinese market. After introducing the general information of the industrial vehicle markets on the international stage and also in domestic China, Secretary General Zhang pointed out the developing tendency and the issues that the industrial vehicle industry should notice of, shared the data info including the increase rate of the industrial market in developed countries and the emerging countries, the sales of internal combustion forklifts and electric forklifts, variation lying in the sales of warehouse forklifts and counterbalanced forklifts as well as the countries with sharp increase or decrease in terms of industrial vehicle sales in 2012, with the aim to alarm the professionals in the field of industrial vehicles to see clearly the macro environment so as to go forward towards the correct developing direction.

Later in the afternoon, Summit Forum for Industrial Vehicle Industry was held, and CITA invited several superiors from the industrial vehicle and parts manufacturing enterprises to inform the developing trend of the enterprises as well as the key to success together with all the attendees.

Zhang Dejin, Chairman of the Board of Anhui Forklift Truck Group (HELI) firstly shared their successful accomplishments and experiences with the guests, and then CEO of Linde (China) Forklift Co., Ltd. Chingpong Quek stated the development of Linde in China as a foreign enterprise. He looked into the future optimistically, saying that Linde had always regarded Chinese market as the key market and insisted providing the customers with diversified products and services,

Chairman of the Board of Ningbo Ruyi Joint Stock Co., Ltd. Chu Jiwang declared that there were ways for the small enterprises to survive in the fierce competition, as they should be diligent and hardworking enough to readily prepare for the challenges and difficulties.

After Xu Lida, the Chief Financial Officer of Zhejiang Hangcha Group talked about how to evade the financial risks and realize stable development, the Vice President of Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. Huang Min pointed out that due to the rapid development and the underestimation of the potential crisis in the economic cycle, the industrial vehicle industry in China underwent great panic, which was also the same in the field of construction machinery industry. He emphasized that all the enterprises should keep alert even during the successful times and always consider the possible challenges and risks so as to stay unbeatable when the difficulties occurred.

Agreeing with these opinions, Lin Xiwen the Chairman of the Board said that if the enterprise blindly pursue the price of the products, they would be lacking in the profits to develop new products and do research on new technologies, leading to the delay of launching new products, which in turns would bring great loss to the whole industry and was also a pitiful waste of raw materials.

Lu Daming, the Director of Beijing Material Handling Research Institute (BMHRI) and Director General of CITA emphasized that industrial vehicle manufacturers in China should learn from those fellow companies in Europe and America in terms of independence, uniqueness and non-homogenization. Chinese manufacturers should never always pursue for the short-term interests, but paying more attention on developing new technologies and products for the future growth of the enterprises, said Director General Lu.

Zhang Defan, the Chairman of the Board of Zhejiang Xinchai Co., Ltd. reviewed the history of Xinchai, saying that production of forklift engines had now occupied more than a half of the business in the company. The development of Xinchai merged together with that of forklifts. Xinchai, and Xinchai would go on enhancing the technology, management and service, succeeding in launching engine products that complied with the emission standard on the international market.

General Manager of Cascade (Hebei) Fork Co., Ltd. Yang Baoqin stated that he had noticed the importance of matching parts on forklifts early in 1993. General Manager Yang held full-hearted passions on fork production, and he expressed his hope to provide quality parts  and to contribute more for the forklift industry in China.

Liu Shihong, General Manager of Shanghai AEAC Logistic Equipment Co., Ltd. made a speech in title of Analysis on the Current Situation and Development Tendency of Forklift Rental Market in China. He firstly narrated the current situation of construction machinery rental market in the world, specially paying more attention on the difference of forklift rental market in Europe, America and China, and then pointed out that except the forklift manufacturers, there were no more than 12 companies in China able to provide more than 600 sets of forklifts, so that the forklift market in China was quite prospective.

Dr. Wei Lizhong from Lite-On Clean Energy Technology Co., Ltd. delivered the speech in title of Research and Application of Lithium Cells on Forklifts. He firstly introduced the Lite-on Group. As the first listing electronic company in Taiwan area, Lite-on held world-advanced lithium cell manufacturing technology. At present, lithium cell was widely used in different industries, and the usage of lithium cells on the forklifts had also been on the agenda.

General Manager of Beijing FJ Controlling Co., Ltd. Meng Fanji briefly introduced FJ and their electric controlling system. Titled in Domestic Electric Controlling System Serving for Chinese Customers, he explored the prospect of electric controlling system and forklift market, saying that FJ had always taken the research and application of electric controlling system technology as the mission of the enterprise with the aim to provide outstanding products and service to meet the demands of the market and benefit the society with the competitive capacity on the international stage.

Addressing with the title of Equipping Chinese Forklifts with Strong “Hearts”, Director of Sales Department of Shunde Kinetek Desheng Motor Co., Ltd. (KDS) Wang Zhigang thought that to choose reliable and powerful “hearts” was rather important, while to choose reliable technology to manufacture such “hearts” was even more important. KDS was dedicated on providing perfect solutions for the forklift customers in China.

On the banquet, the superiors on the meeting, such as Deputy Country Chief of Jingxian People’s Government Zhou Da, Director General of CITA Lu Daming, General Council of China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA) Qi Jun, General Manager of China Forklift Co., Ltd. Yao Dashen attended the start-up ceremony for compiling the Development History of Industrial Vehicle Industry in China, and met with the main representatives of the compiling committee. 

The meeting also awarded the predecessors who had been working in the forklift industry for more than 50 years. Since the formation of forklift industry in China, they had been contributing their forces on the development of the industry.

The Fourth Session of Member Meeting of the Fifth Council and 2012 Annual Meeting of CITA was successfully closed, on which the superiors from the enterprises gathered together to communicate with each others on the future development of the enterprises, speeding up the progress and product upgrade of the whole forklift industry.
