In March, monthly sales of 2,910 sets of excavators created historic record.

The goal: To challenge No.1 Construction Heavy Equipments Manufacturer in China

 

Since entering Chinese heavy equipment market in 1997, Doosan created attractive achievement of accumulatively selling 50,000 sets of excavators in 10 years. During the first year after establishing, the company only sold 234 sets of excavators. After continuously developing products suitable for local reality, completing A/S network and enhancing the competitive force, Doosan realized sales amount of 11,026 sets, 50 times of the first year.

 

In March, 2008, Doosan sold 2910 sets of excavators in Chinese market, creating highest record of monthly sales in the history. The record realized a year-on-on increase of 42% compared with that of 2,015 sets in 2007, equal to be the whole sales amount of 2007 in Korean market. In the first quarter of 2008, the accumulated sales reached 4817 sets, a year-on-year increase of 50%.

 

Doosan has maintained the excellent achievements owning No.1 excavator market share in China in 7 successive years and stayed to win most customers’ satisfaction for five straight years due to the localized and differentiated strategy. Among the whole machinery industry, Doosan as the only one solely-funded enterprise adopted A/S strategy firstly and established operating and A/S network which can rapidly meet the customers’ demand around the country so as to display their features and manufacture excavators suitable for Chinese environment to fasten the development in Chinese market. Presently, Doosan has built up 280 operating and A/S network points. Moreover, Doosan was also the first one in China to carry out Guarantee System of Handling Faults within 24 Hours and Periodical Site Inspection System within 8,000 Hours, which have furthermore enhanced the satisfaction degree of the customers.

 

Doosan acquired a domestic loader manufacturing enterprise—Yuhua Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. last year, planning to construct a new plant with annual output of 7500 sets in October, 2008 so as to enter Chinese loader market in an all round way. It is estimated to sell 15,000 sets of loaders till 2014, turning to be the leading enterprise in China.

 

The General Manager of Doosan Infracore (China) Co., Ltd. pointed out that in 2008, Doosan’s goal is to realize excavator sales of more than 13,500 sets and loader business shall enter Chinese market in the second half year; Doosan will sustain the development in Chinese market and strive to be No.1 manufacturer in Chinese market of heavy equipment for construction in 2012.
