Toyota Material Handling USA has been recognized for innovation for a product designed and manufactured by Columbus forklift maker Toyota Industrial Equipment Manufacturing.

The company received for its Integrated Lift Truck Scale the highest achievement in New Equipment Digest's inaugural "King" Awards in the material handling category.

The scale allows forklift operators to quickly weigh loads en route to another location in the facility, eliminating having to transport the loads to and from floor scales, the company said in a press release.

Recipients were chosen by more than 6,000 readers, Toyota said.
