Normet Chairman Aaro Cantell appointed as Chairman and CEO of Normet Group Oy
Tom Melbye appointed as President of Normet Group and Normet Group Oy
Jari Osmala leaves Normet. Timo Rask appointed as President of Normet Supply Line and Pertti Pitkänen appointed as President of Normet Oy
Normet is changing from a pure equipment company more into a solutions provider ie. new services and products around selected customer processes. The recent addition of chemicals into our product offering is an important step on that path. The Front Line operations of Normet are driving the development of the whole group now and it is natural that the President of the Front Line Tom Melbye will take the lead also in Normet Group. The Board of Directors has therefore yesterday appointed Tom Melbye also as the President of Normet Group Oy . Tom will continue in his current position as the President of Front Line. Please join us in welcoming Tom also in this new important role at Normet. Aaro Cantell is taking even more active role as Chairman and CEO and will support Tom in the further development of Normet. Tom will, however, have the full operative responsibility for leading Normet Group.
As the former President and CEO Jari Osmala is leaving Normet Timo Rask will take over his responsibilities as the President of the global Supply Line operations. Please join us in welcoming Timo in his new role. Pertti Pitkänen is appointed President of Normet Oy. Please join us in welcoming Pertti in his new role. Pertti will also continue as CFO of Normet Group Oy. On behalf of all of us we wish to thank Jari Osmala warmly for the very good cooperation and for the excellent accomplishments achieved during his 6,5 years period as the Normet Group President.
