Man Wounded in Forklift Accident at Masonic Home in Union City
转载 2010-05-17 15:18 mercurynews Source:mercurynewsUNION CITY — A man operating a forklift at the Masonic Home was seriously hurt Thursday when the machine rolled over and landed on his leg, fire officials said.
The man, described as being in his early 30s, suffered a major leg injury about 9:30 a.m. that prompted the Union City Fire Department to summon a helicopter to transport the man to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, said Assistant Fire Chief Andy Smith.
The incident could lead to the man's leg being amputated, but his injuries were not considered to be life-threatening, Smith said.
