The Company is highlighting its role as an intralogistics solutions provider at this year’s LogiMAT 2010 in Stuttgart. A major focus of Jungheinrich’s appearance at the show involves warehouse navigation and the “Jungheinrich WMS” warehouse management system.
 
Jungheinrich is presenting its warehouse navigation module for the first time at LogiMAT in the form of a live demonstration. This module, which was launched in 2009, is designed to promote efficiency in narrow-aisle warehouses.

Users of the warehouse navigation module can increase throughput by up to 25 per cent, depending on the concrete application environment — for example the size of the warehouse or the warehouse organisation system. Currently over 50 of the systems are already in use, enhancing warehouse efficiency at a number of European enterprises.

Since recently the Jungheinrich warehouse navigation system can now also be linked to the Jungheinrich logistics interface, which is installed on the truck terminal and “translates” the data that need to be exchanged between the truck control unit and the WMS. This means that no further modification to the warehouse management system is required. This option of smooth, easy integration into a warehouse’s existing IT environment is an exclusive trademark of the holistic system solutions being showcased by Jungheinrich at LogiMAT.

The in Hamburg located company is concentrating its presentation at LogiMAT in Stuttgart on solutions which can be used to optimize a customer’s intralogistics. The core of these solutions in many projects involves a warehouse management system (WMS). Thanks to its modular, profile-based design, the “Jungheinrich WMS” combines the advantages of standard software with the flexibility of individual software. Both manual warehouse systems that deploy industrial trucks and racks as well as fully automated warehouse systems with rack storage and retrieval units and materials handling technology, or a combination of the two, can now be efficiently controlled. Wireless communications and the Jungheinrich truck terminal, which can be ordered factory-installed for the majority of models, allow for paperless processes.
