Tanjung Manis Integrated Port (TMP), is located in East Malaysia, and is one of the fast growing natural deep-water container pier. On November 13, 2009, TMP successful received 2 units of new Linde reach stackers assembled in Xiamen.

TMP assistant general manager (Operations) Hassan Hasnan said: “These reach stackers are to replace the existing conventional cranes (two units of 45-tonne self-propelled truck mounted cranes) used to support vessel and yard operations as well as well for consolidation of cargoes such as stuffing and unstuffing requirements. The deployment of the new reach stackers would certainly result in a significant reduction in the turnaround time for the vessels as they are capable of making at least 15 moves per hour compared to only 10 by the conventional cranes."

Linde's reach stackers are fully outfitted with the latest technology for ergonomic operations, energy saving features and environmental conscious with minimal maintenance.  The reach stackers are capable to stack 5 containers of 45 tons each, which is much higher than the conventional crane.  Many reach stackers are already operating in major Malaysian, Asean, European and Far East ports and terminals.
