Perkins Engines Company Limited has appointed Wilson Lotério as the new general manager for its production facility at Curitiba, Brazil.

Wilson, formerly manufacturing manager at the site, became general manager on October 1, 2009.

Delighted to accept the new position, Wilson said: “I’m very enthusiastic about this new challenge in my career. I have held a number of positions at Curitiba, from being a technical manager to being responsible for most of the order-to-delivery process, and I will be drawing on all this experience in my new role as general manager of the facility.”

He continued: “Over the past few years Perkins has proved itself to be an excellent employer, regularly appearing in the list of 150 best companies to work for in Brazil, and I am determined that will continue to be the case.

“Curitiba is a large engine facility producing mechanical and electronic versions of the 1100 Series, and I know that with our focus on quality, reliability and our product support network; Perkins engines will continue to be an important choice for OEMs and customers in Brazil and the Americas.”
