Noell Crane Systems (China) Limited (hereinafter "Noell(China)") is a foreign invested joint venture company established in October 1995 on approval of National Planning Committee and Ministry of Foreign Trade & Economic Corporation.

To follow the requirements of the market and to be competitive also in the future, NOELL as one of the leading German crane manufacturers, intended to establish a manufacturing company in the far-east region. After a certain time of investigation, an appropriate location was found in Zhangzhou Development Zone, built up by China's famous China Merchants Group. The new Company was founded in 1996 as a joint venture between German Preussag-Noell and China Merchants as an independent crane manufacturer to cover the crane fabrication for the East-Asian and Pacific region. This company, known under the name PNCM started their operations in 1998 with a manpower of approx. 300 employees. Noell as one of the remaining and leading German crane manufacturers, with an experience of more than 175 years, transferred the technology of crane design into the new company as well as supervising the quality standards. As a result of this technology transfer, the first cranes, manufactured at the new company could be handed over to the client already after approximately one year. In1999 the Preussag Noell group was split up and sold to other companies. As a part of this break-up, the Noell Cranes Systems GmbH (hereinafter "NCS") was formed and sold in 2000 to the Italian Fantuzzi/Reggiane Group, another important European crane manufacturer. From this merge one of the world's leading crane manufacturers was formed. Also the young PNCM was taken over by this group in 2000 and renamed Noell Crane Systems (China) Limited and is working under the same business concept as before, to be the group crane manufacturer for the East-Asia and Pacific regions using their German design and quality requirements.

As a standard product, Noell(China) is the RTG/RMG manufacturer of the group. But also on the STS side Noell(China) has taken over some orders as well as fabricating and erecting cranes for STS orders taken over by NCS. To complete their product range of container handling equipment, Noell(China) has started with fabrication and assembly of Forklift and Reach Stacker of the groups - Fantuzzi brand since July 2002, after finishing the construction of the new fabrication facilities.
