Specialist international transport and distribution business Jeavons Eurotir has recently completed an ambitious project to install a 470 M2 mezzanine floor right on top of its existing despatch area in just 3 weeks.

The company based in Tyseley, Birmingham UK is a diverse UK and International transport business providing warehousing, distribution and transportation to a diverse range of customers, from hazardous chemicals to bonded goods and building materials.

They recently won a contract to import automotive glass components, unpacking, preparing and repackaging ready to be delivered directly to car plant production lines in the UK.

Handling fragile and repacking glass products meant that this operation would needed its own space, well away from the normal warehousing and distribution activities.

Amvar Handling Solutions, a Cradley Heath based company took on the project, providing design, installation, racking and materials handling equipment.
Managing Director Malcolm Mitchell personally lead the project; “We see ourselves as a problem solver for mid-size warehouse installations and adaptations, so this project was right up our street”.

The completed project has now given Jeavons the ideal space for the extra business activity and capacity to grow their business further, avoiding the cost and hassle of finding additional premises and staff.
