Geared to harsh and dusty conditions
Thanks to the variety of additional equipment - for example, bulk scoops - trucks can be tailored to handle a wide range of tasks in the construction industry.Special attachments for added flexibility / Bulk scoops for a wide range of tasks in the construction industry / Adjustable driving and operating functions to suit the task at hand / Dirt protection packages for the powertrain
The construction industry is hard on both man and machine. Transporting heavy payloads on rough terrain, storing and retrieving palletised and non-palletised goods and provisioning raw materials for work in progress are among the most common tasks. The mix of long and short distances as well as frequent and fast reversing, in extremely dusty and dirty conditions, makes forklift operations so demanding. Then there are the long working times of up to 10 hours a day. For these tough conditions Jungheinrich recommends internal combustion-engine powered forklifts with hydrodynamic or hydrostatic drive. Thanks to their robust and ergonomic design and the great variety of customising options, Jungheinrich hydrostatic-drive forklifts running on diesel or LPG - i.e. TFG or DFG trucks, with lifting capacities ranging from 1,600 to 5,000 kg - are especially well suited for meeting the challenges of the construction industry. The operator can set the driving and operating functions to meet the specific task at hand. Moreover, maintenance-free drives and brakes ensure high availability. With more than 6,000 employees worldwide, the Jungheinrich customer service team is on standby to perform rapid repairs as needed.
Tailoring the truck to handle a spectrum of specific tasks is easy, given the wide range of add-on equipment and packages. These include a variety of attachments, such as bulk scoops, brick and block clamps, crane hooks or arms, and rotary and tilting tools for different kinds of container. The bulk scoop featured on the DFG S50s on show at stand 908A on the bauma open-air site makes light work of scooping, moving and dumping bulk materials such as sand, gravel or granulate. Another forklift on the Jungheinrich exhibition stand, the DFG 425s with recycling clamp, gets to grips with transporting compressed recyclables. No matter the need or requirement, Jungheinrich provides comprehensive consultation services, offering a wide range of attachments including a calculation of load-bearing capacity and a recommendation as to the most suitable trucks.
In addition to the attachments Jungheinrich offers a variety of dirt protection packages. These involve special spray treatment and underbody protection measures to prevent the penetration of fine bulk and dirt particles into the engine compartment. A lint screen before the radiator prevents clogging, while various filter systems clean the engine air intake in extremely dusty conditions and a raised exhaust tailpipe minimises the whirling up of dust on the ground.
Jungheinrich also pays attention to creating a comfortable driver cabin that is easy to clean, featuring engine hood, roof liner and door panels made of abrasion resistant and washable leatherette. In addition, fine dust filters supply clean air to the driver. Furthermore, heating, air conditioning and various seat and comfort options are available to ensure the all-round well-being of the driver at his workplace in the cabin.
