Now in its fifth year, CeMAT RUSSIA once again strongly confirmed its leadership as Russia’s most important intralogistics trade show. The exhibition spectrum ranged from partly automated solutions to a fully automated warehouse, with all elements of intralogistics on display, from pallet trucks and materials handling to the warehouse, order picking and software.

Many exhibitors have been taking part since the first CeMAT RUSSIA was held in Moscow in 2010, such as Andreas Finken, CEO, topsystem Systemhaus, Würselen, Germany: “We bring our speech-based order picking systems to the user market in Russia via projects with system integrators. This configuration gives us very precise knowledge of the needs and requirements for intralogistics in this market. We observed strong interest in our solutions at CeMAT RUSSIA.”

More than 200 exhibitors presented from a diverse spectrum of products and system solutions at CeMAT RUSSIA from 23 to 26 September. Attendance rose 12 percent to a total of 5,315. Visitors from industry and trade showed particular interest in system solutions for structuring internal company logistics. These systems support more rational and efficient processes to meet customer demand for exceptional delivery service and delivery capacity. Fjodor Dederer, Director General, 000 Still Forklifttrucks, Moscow, also has the Russian user market in his sights: “We see our future in the Russian market with customers who want comprehensive facilities, solutions that address all logistics task requirements from fork lifts to material flow engineering, storage technology and warehouse management.”

Broad range of exhibits offering vast potential for intralogistics optimization

The exhibitor offer included in particular equipment, systems and solutions for the manufacturing industry, with a strong focus on the automotive, chemical, pharmaceutical and food product industries. Trade and logistics services, which are key sectors in Russia, were also in the spotlight.

The Japanese company Daifuku was at the fair for the first time. Says Thomas Balluf, Branch Manager, Daifuku, Mönchengladbach, Germany: “Our – admittedly somewhat late – decision to exhibit at CeMAT Russia was partly motivated by several projects we have successfully completed in Russia. Given the excellent response to our portfolio, we plan to return to Moscow and exhibit here again next year.”
