With an impressive 4000kg lift capacity; the SQ40 is the new flagship model in the Hubtex range of Reach Trucks.

The SQ40 Reach Truck, with a nominal lift capacity of 4000kgs at 600mm load centre, accommodates considerably heavier loads than conventional reach trucks but with the same working aisle widths.

As with most of the Hubtex ranges, the new reach truck was developed after responding to customer and market needs, especially in the manufacturing sector. Lifting and transporting loads and tooling is becoming more and more challenging as the size of loads to be handled, together with the centre of gravity considerations, pushed previous reach trucks to their limits. Hubtex therefore began developing the SQ 40 towards the end of 2013. The objective, which has now been accomplished, was to achieve high load bearing capacities in combination with extended centres of gravity while maintaining extremely compact dimensions. One of the companies involved in the early stages of development was a tyre manufacturer who needed to handle large tools, but due to the size of the load – in this case metal grids for creating tyre profiles – meant that the reach truck is positioned relatively far away from where the tools are loaded.

During development of the truck, Hubtex performed a difficult balancing act: the company catered for individual special applications, but also ensured that a broad range of applications – heavy-duty operations in material and tool handling within a confined space – were covered by the SQ 40. This means once again that Hubtex are able to offer customers tailor made solutions to match their handling needs.

The new SQ40 sets the benchmark when it comes to performance, ergonomics, safety and above all compactness and is therefore among the most advanced on the market. The modern design offers the driver good visibility and ergonomics with the innovative fingertip control. "For us, the SQ 40 is the right machine at the right time," says Sales Manager for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, LarsBeuel. "It means we can now respond positively to requests that we would previously have had to turn down."

Due to the increased demand in this important market segment, Hubtex is expecting good results and excellent customer satisfaction from the SQ 40.
