Following a very positive launch at the end of 2013 of its Tonero 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes diesel trucks with hydrostatic transmission, Toyota now expands the Tonero HST offer onto 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes LPG and 3.0 to 3.5 tonnes LPG and diesel forklift trucks.

Last year, Toyota was introducing its first hydrostatic transmission on the Tonero diesel range of 2.0 to 2.5 tonnes. The hydrostatic transmission is an extra offer that particularly addresses customers who prefer the driving feeling specific to this system. Today, Toyota makes new models available to the market: the 2.5 tonnes LPG and the 3.0 to 3.5 tonnes for both LPG and diesel engines.

The Tonero HST was one of the material handling highlights at the CeMAT 2014 intralogistics fair in Hanover where Toyota presented its latest products and solutions - with more launches than ever before. The new Tonero HST models have the same unique features that run in the broad Tonero family: purpose-built Toyota industrial engine, Toyota System of Active Stability (SAS) for maximum stability and safety, and perfect visibility.

“With the launch of our first hydrostatic Tonero trucks at the end of 2013, Toyota opened up new sales opportunities. Offering both hydrostatic and torque convertor means that all customers can benefit from the advantages offered by Tonero, no matter their driving preference or application demands. We are pleased to see that our care for bringing exceptional efficiency and the quality of our products are appreciated by our customers,” says Craig Walby, Director Product Management at Toyota Material Handling Europe.
The Tonero family of hydrostatic transmission continues to develop and will be completed by early 2015.
