Toyota I_Site, the intelligent fleet management solution and Toyota Traigo 80, the reliable and energy-efficient electric-powered counterbalance forklift are the big winners of the International Forklift Truck of the Year (IFOY) award.

Toyota Material Handling Europe makes a great start at CeMAT, the world's leading intralogistics event taking place in Hannover Messe, Germany this week. Following last evening's IFOY Award Night ceremony, Toyota received the international jury's recognition for the quality and reliability of two of its material handling products and solutions: the Toyota I_Site and the Toyota Traigo 80.

Toyota I_Site was selected in the "Intralogistics Solutions" category for its proven operational features and clear customer benefits. The jury was convinced by the efficiency, increased productivity and low operating cost that Toyota I_Site brought to the international logistics provider Carreras Group, helping it to manage 300 trucks in 22 locations.

Toyota Traigo 80 electric forklift won in the category "Counter Balanced Trucks up to 3.5 tonnes". The jury was particularly impressed with the truck's powerful acceleration which makes it at the same time 20% more productive and also one of the most energy-efficient trucks in its class.

"I am very honoured to receive these two IFOY awards," says Hans van Leeuwen, Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales, Toyota Material Handling Europe. "This achievement would not have been possible without the involvement of our employees and our customers. It also stands for what we are constantly striving for: customer satisfaction through exceptional efficiency."

The winners and nominees of the IFOY Award can be seen at Toyota's Pavilion P32 together with the variety of new products and solutions that Toyota is exhibiting the whole week at CeMAT 2014.
