At the CeMAT 2014 show in Hanover, Germany (May 19–23) Jungheinrich is unveiling three new reach trucks: the ETV 320, the ETV/ETM 325 and the ETV 110/112.

The line-up of new and innovative reach trucks was kicked off at CeMAT 2011, with the unveiling of Jungheinrich’s new series 2 trucks – the ETV/ETM 214-216 – while the company’s new 3 series was launched in spring 2013 with the introduction of the ETV 318. Now, at CeMAT 2014 Jungheinrich is presenting its ETV 320 and ETV/ETM 325 vehicles, with a lifting capacity of 2,000 and 2,500 kilograms respectively. The main characteristic of the new reach truck model range consists of its substantially lower energy consumption, coupled with a higher throughput rate. “Measurements have indicated that, while consuming 10 percent less energy, the latest generation of trucks also performs up to 10 percent higher than before,” explains Joachim Schier, Head of Reach Truck Portfolio Management at Jungheinrich.

Produced at the Jungheinrich plant in Norderstedt (near Hamburg), these new reach trucks boast a maximum lift height of 13 metres, with the ability to stack payloads of up to 1,000 kilograms at that height. Apart from the well-known, tried and tested vehicle features and options for the series 2 trucks, the vehicles are also fitted with a new, protective panorama roof for storing and picking at great heights, offering substantially enhanced visibility for the operator.

Jungheinrich Reach Trucks All Sporting New Design

At CeMAT 2014 Jungheinrich is also presenting its new ETV 110/112 reach truck – the “little brother” of its series 3 trucks. The ETV 110/112 is characterised by its narrow outer width of 1,120 mm and is capable of transporting payloads of up to 1,200 kilograms. The truck’s engineering design included a substantial reduction in energy consumption, with a simultaneous increase in performance levels. The introduction of the series 1 trucks – planned for mid-2014 – will complete the design change for an entire family of Jungheinrich reach trucks.

The slim support arms for this series have been designed for extra stability. This allows the driver to pull a Euro pallet back between the support arms, just like for larger-sized reach trucks. “This saves a great deal of space,” explains Schier, adding that it was “ideal for applications involving block warehouses or drive-in racking.” And the new 1 series will also feature many of the same options available for the series 2 and 3 model range.

Jungheinrich ranks among the world’s leading companies in the material handling equipment, warehousing and material flow engineering sectors. The company is an intralogistics service and solution provider with manufacturing operations, which offers its customers a comprehensive range of forklift trucks, logistics systems, services and advice. Jungheinrich shares are traded on all German stock exchanges.
