The Manitou group has unveiled its new masted truck-mounted TMM forklift concept at the CV Show in Birmingham.
The four new models represent an optimal supplement to the TMM range - establoished over 20 years ago - to cope with all the requirements and uses of transport professionals, particularly for the UK, Germany, Benelux and France markets.
The range has a capacity of 2.0-2.5t, and all four models feature Kubota 26.5kW industrial engines.
Manitou says it is aware of the restrictions to which users are subject and incorporates them into the design of its truck-mounted forklifts. The masted TMM truck-mounted forklifts are lighter and allow the carrier to optimise its load on the trailer.
The choice of the Kubota diesel engine underlines the Manitou philosophy of selecting field proven quality major components.
Optimisation of the TMM to reduce down time is critical as the machine can be easily uncoupled from the trailer bed and deployed instantly. The available coupling kit is multi-brand, which maximises the initial investment. Because the truck-mounted forklift spends its life outdoors, the paintwork undergoes shot-blasting and cataphoresis stages to maintain its quality over its lifetime.
The TMM range is available in a 4-Way version, which is ideally suited for handling long loads in a confined space. The two front wheels are positioned in side operation automatically by activating a single button.
