COMAG offers the complete solution to all post print needs and has looked to Continental Specialty Tyres to provide the ultimate solution under challenging conditions.

The magazine distributors UK hub is renowned for supplying some of the biggest wholesalers of magazines such as WHSmith, with an around the clock operation that sees the forklift fleet and tyres put to the test.

With diverse application conditions, COMAG had experienced issues with down time due to frequent replacement cycles with its previous tyre fitment. Traction had also proved to be a particular problem, which resulted in slower speeds that impacted on efficiency.

Specifically relevant to the materials handling segment, the Continental CSEasy is a unique offering to market as the first solid tyre that does not require a fitting press. Meaning the replacement tyre can be fitted quickly and easily. Two hands and a torque wrench are all that is required.

This revolutionary tyre concept has ensured the tyre replacement experience for COMAG is taken to another level, giving optimum tyre service life and reduced downtime when replacing tyres.

With the entire Hyster counterbalance fleet now on CSEasy tyres and a request to be fitted as original equipment on new vehicles, COMAG have seen real benefits since changing to Continental tyres. With less downtime and better traction, the CSEasy has also increased tyre life from approximately three sets of tyres per year with the previous fitment, to half this with the Continental tyres, a significant saving to COMAG's tyre bill overnight.

Alan Aish, Facilities Manager for COMAG said "Continental did what they promised, reducing the issues on site and improving efficiency. The after sales service was very impressive and showed that Continental really cared about performance. I would recommend to any forklift user"

Gary Banks, key account Manager from Continental said: 'As a premium tyre manufacturer Continental are solution providers, able to offer COMAG the ultimate choice with the CSEasy. We are delighted to support customer needs with a bespoke offering when replacing their tyres, ensuring improved performance all round with the right tyre to suit the application. Our open and transparent relationship with COMAG has really helped us understand the needs of the business and ultimately offer the best tyre solution.'
