Just months after taking the majority hold of aerial work equipment manufacturer Snorkel, Don Ahern told Access, Lift & Handlers during World of Concrete that Snorkel will launch a brand new series of telehandlers at ConExpo 2014.

Aimed to compete with popular telehandler products currently manufactured by Genie, JLG and Manitou and others, the Snorkel line will feature units in the 5,900-pound to 12,000-pound capacity range. The first series will be aimed toward the North American market with a production date goal of April 2014, while a global series will hit the market in September. Specifications and other information are still being tweaked, but look to the March issue of ALH for more in-depth coverage.

Visitors on the Xtreme/Snorkel stand at ConExpo can expect a range of equipment from both manufacturers, including new large-capacity telehandlers from Xtreme and new and updated or revamped Snorkel models. ALH also has learned of new products from Snorkel’s AWP side that will debut during the March 4-8 exhibition in Las Vegas. See the March ConExpo guide for further details.
