The Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) 2013 proved to be a great success for explosion protection company, Pyroban who exhibited alongside Pyropress Engineering.

"We had discussions with a number of key businesses from various sectors, including offshore, drilling and marine companies" says Mark Jackson, Business Manager from Pyroban.
Pyroban manufactures and supplies explosion protection up-fit kits for almost any brand and size of engine, with current projects including: Volvo, Cummins, John Deere, Perkins, Detroit, MTU and Caterpillar brands.

"Companies often believe that in order to protect engines and equipment against the risk of an explosion, they must purchase a new engine, or that the conversion must take place offsite" explains Mark Jackson. "On the stand at ADIPEC 2013, we showed visitors that explosion protection can be fitted to engines onsite, with our hazardous area mobile power solutions. Pyroban's trained engineers can retrofit existing engines as well as being able to fit equipment anywhere, both of which help to reduce transport costs."

A number of Pyroban products were displayed at ADIPEC. A detailed scale model of a Pyroban powerpack, suitable for safe operation in Zone 2 hazardous areas showed how Pyroban systems eliminate the risk of explosion from hot surfaces, sparks, overspeed and other hazards.
Systems available from Pyroban include exhaust gas coolers, inlet shut-off valves, spark and flame arrestors and other explosion proof components.

Pyropress, part of the Pyroban Group of companies, also exhibited on the stand displaying the variety of switches and transmitters they have to offer.

"At ADIPEC 2013 we met with some Pyropress distributors as well as prospective new distributors" says Paul Maddern, Sales Manager of Pyropress. "There was also excellent attendance on the stand from customers. We received a number of large orders following the show."

Events such as ADIPEC provide a valuable opportunity for companies to engage with new and existing customers.

"ADIPEC 2013 has taught us about new projects within the oil and gas sector, and enabled us to listen to customers' issues and discuss solutions, whilst demonstrating what explosion protection with Pyroban means," says Mark Jackson.

The company's success at ADIPEC 2013 follows another recent Pyroban highlight for 2013.
"Three gen sets powered by Cat C18 engines, complete with full Pyroban Hazardous Protection equipment, including our 3GP Gas Detection System were provided for the ZADCO Project" says Gary Smith, Business Development Manager, explaining that the Pyroban equipment was approved and accepted by both ADNOC and ADMA OPCO.

Pyroban builds and supplies complete explosion proof mobile power packages and converts forklifts and mobile equipment for use in hazardous areas. The company also offers after sales service and support, as well as training.
