Nuvera Fuel Cells is to introduce its new Orion stack for the materials handling market at ProMat 2013 – the famous US supply chain, manufacturing, and distribution trade show, which will be held in Chicago, Illinois from 21st to 24th January.

The Orion stack is designed to be easily integrated into the product portfolios of forklift manufacturers and other industrial vehicle OEMs. Fuel cells can cut operating costs, increase productivity and reduce emissions when used in materials handling applications. The success of Plug Power in this niche has led several other fuel cell manufacturers to follow suit.

Nuvera is claiming industry-leading current density for its system, reducing the capital cost for a given amount of power produced. The Orion system is available in configurations from 8 to 300 kW. Pricing for the new models has not been announced.
