The BT Levio P-series – now featuring new styling and high-value formulas for maximum productivity

Giving the LPE200 and LPE240 – the heavy-duty powered pallet workhorses of Europe’s warehouses – further improvements and major new options, increasing productivity and driving down costs.

Fast and powerful, yet safe and easy-to-use, BT Levio powered pallet trucks cater for all horizontal pallet transport applications. The range comprises compact, lightweight units, walk-with and ride-on trucks – all with the optimum drive system and design strength to ensure trouble-free operation.

For intensive applications requiring compact trucks, BT Levio P-series models come equipped with a flip-down operator platform, making them suitable for long distance use while maintaining the manoeuvrability that is so essential in many busy operations.

In a perfect example of Toyota’s core philosophy of continuous improvement (kaizen) in practice, the latest LPE200 and LPE240 models come with the benefit of years of refinements – increasing their performance and durability – as well as their new styling. The LPE200 boasts over 40 separate upgrades, and the LPE240, 55 instances since its introduction.

Furthermore, new Productivity + formula and Advanced Performance Management option take productivity and efficiency to the next level, providing advanced performance and safety features as well as fleet management functionality to both models.

Productivity + formula
This new value package ensures that BT Levio P-series has the edge in today’s demanding logistics operations, Productivity + includes performance, drivability and safety features that add up to class leading powered pallet trucks, resulting in a highly competitive package. On the LPE200, maximum speed is raised to 8.5 km/h, with safety ensured by foldable sidegates or new-style sideguards or backrest.

Productivity + adds electronic power steering to the LPE240, making light work of handling loads up to 2400 kilograms.

On both models, safety is further enhanced with Optimised Truck Performance (OTP):  automatic speed reduction on cornering, on both models. This feature also allows a softer, more controllable response in pedestrian mode.

Advanced Performance Management – increasing efficiency, reducing cost
Advanced Performance Management (APM) is for customers who demand the highest level of truck performance. Accurate data on productivity, utilisation and impacts – all cross-referenced with driver identification – gives a detailed picture of how each truck is used, allowing problems and inefficiencies to be detected early and dealt with effectively.

Truck data is collected by onboard systems and transmitted wirelessly in real-time over a local mobile phone network to TMHE’s central customer database. The data is immediately accessible via a secure web portal and can easily be exported into spreadsheets.

The system is designed to accommodate large fleet users with multiple sites, as well as smaller operations. The data can be searched and formatted in multiple ways, providing a range of views into an operation. BT Levio P-series models with APM have PIN-code start, meaning that it is possible to track which operator was using the truck at any given time. These codes are allocated and managed via the web portal. No set-up is required and data comes in as soon as the first truck is turned on.
APM data is provided by Toyota I_Site reports. Toyota I_Site can be implemented fleet-wide and includes consultancy, ongoing advice and support, and helping companies to analyse their data with our Toyota I_Site experts and make the right decisions for their operations.

Niclas Sternerup, Director, Product Management Warehouse range comments: “The LPE’s fresh, updated design reflects the look and feel of the current BT warehouse range, including the recently launched BT Optio L-series low-level order picker, which was recognised for its excellent design with the iF Gold Product Design Award 2012 from the iF Industrie Forum. Adding the great value packages Productivity + and APM, means our customers will be able to take productivity up to a new level.”
