Toyota Material Handling UK has announced changes to its senior management team, changes to current responsibilities and introducing a new member to their team.

Following the recent move of Sam Coles (Commercial Director) to a new role in Toyota Material Handling Europe, Toyota Material Handling UK has taken the opportunity to restructure their senior team to meet the challenges of today's business climate.

After 10 years at Toyota five of which as Operations Director for the UK, Tony Wallis has been appointed as Toyota Material Handling UK, Sales and Marketing Director.

With a strong background in sales and marketing it was a natural progression to align the two functions. Tony Wallis commented: "We have grown significantly during the last five years and we have a fantastic opportunity to drive forward our business objectives and achieve new levels in the UK. By aligning our sales and marketing functions it will enable us to build on our solid foundations and continue to drive forward our aspirations of helping our customers to drive down costs in their business by ensuring we offer world class products and support.

In addition, Kevin Davies will join the UK senior management team as Operations Director, responsible for business centres, supply and transport, fleet refurbishment and the Toyota Training Academy. Having worked for the Toyota for over 25 years, Kevin brings extensive experience of process and project management to the role.

Kevin Davies says: "I am looking forward to joining the senior management team, operations play an integral part in providing high levels of customer service for our customers. We are continuing to focus on eliminating waste in our process and improve the way we work for our customers as well as our internal team members".

Mike Mathias, Managing Director for Toyota Material Handling UK adds "The changes to the senior management team structure will help us to achieve our mission of being the first choice partner for our customers. The changes will enable us to build on the strong business practises we have developed for our customers and support our team to increase operational efficiency".

Toyota Material Handling UK will continue to strive towards providing customers with world class products and business support.
