California-based aerial work platform manufacturer MEC Aerial Work Platforms has announced a realignment of sales territories and an expansion of sales efforts to encompass a more global scope, the company announced.

Jim Tolle has been promoted to vice president of international sales for MEC. "This move signals the strong confidence of the company in the recovery of the European market," the company said.

Tolle has a wealth of experience and expertise in the aerial work platform industry and the company will be heavily reliant upon his talents in fully developing the European market.

MEC recently won an IAPA awward for its TItan Boom 40-S and it was also on the 2012 IAPA shortlist for its Crossover scissor lifts. The company also touted its Speed Level Sigma Lift as "ever versatile and innovative."

MEC Aerial Work Platforms is shipping a CE-approved Titan Boom 40-S, CE-approved 2659ERT Crossover scissor lift, and a CE-approved electric 2684ES Speed Level to the U.K. for Vertikal Days next month.

"The MEC product line up fits well into the savvy, safety minded, and productivity oriented environment that is the European powered access market - all of which makes a strong push into Europe a logical venture for the company," the company said.
