UK based rental company Hi-Reach has ordered a number of new JCB telehandlers as it takes its fleet up to 100 fixed frame units between nine and 17 metres lift height.

The first units of the new order, 10.2 metre/3,300kg JCB 533-105s have just been delivered to the company’s headquarters near Swindon. The new machines are to high specification and include JCB’s Livelink telematics system which incorporates GPS tracking, anti-theft protection and geo-fence restrictions, along with remote access to machine service data.

Paul Richards (L) and Hi-Reach service manager Barry Green with two of the new machines.

Hi-Reach managing director Paul Richards said that demand for the Hi-Reach telehandler fleet has been strong throughout the UK during 2011 and the intention is to add a further, unspecified number of units during 2012.

The new machines were purchased through Holt JCB with whom Hi-Reach has formed a strong alliance over the past five years.
