Toyota’s global exhibition tour of Z series forklifts in 2010 was a great success with high praises from the customers and professionals in the forklift industry. Following this favorable situation, Toyota Forklift began the national activity of 8 Series Battery Forklift Exhibition Tour in China since May, four months after the official launch of 8 series battery forklift in January, 2011. As the beginning of this tour, Toyota firstly stopped in Xi’an, a central city in the western part of China.

On May 23, 2011 Western China International Logistics Industry Fair was grandly held in Xi’an Qujiang International Conference & Exhibition Center. At the fair, Toyota attracted more attention from the visitors with its unique red colored and innovatively designed Toyota forklifts.

“We are confident with the newly launched Toyota 8 series battery forklifts,” said the General Manager Gao from Shaanxi Weiye Store Equipment Co., Ltd. (dealer of Toyota forklifts in Shaanxi), “attending this fair, we hope more customers and visitors could know clearly about this series of forklifts and more about Toyota.” Ueda, the General Manager of Toyota Material handling (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (TMHS) went to the fair and had close communications with the dealers and the customers. The visitors went to the stand to enquire the information of the new forklifts, and asked for the prototypes. Information about more than ten enterprises in local area was collected at the fair.

The newly launched 8 series battery forklifts started a new era for the usage of battery forklift. Toyota applied several innovative high technologies on the new series forklifts, such as dual-channel AC system was devised, bringing higher operational efficiency and longer operational intervals for the customers; OPS Operator Presence Sensing System, passing down the safety concept; and the latest active stability system for optional. The frame of the forklift made use of ergonomic designs, reducing the operator’s fatigue during the handling period.

Since the company acquired Sweden forklift manufacture BT in 2001, Toyota has been ranked the world's No. 1 forklift manufacturer in terms of forklift sales for successive nine years. This upgrade of forklift modes, undertaking for ten years, is believed to bring about a new revolutionary reform for battery forklifts.
