After launching onto the market early in 2011, Toyota 8 series forklifts were highly concerned by the customers and the professionals in the forklift industry. Toyota began the national exhibition tour of this new battery forklift in May, and leaving the first stop in Xi’an, Toyota stopped at the main city in Yangtze River Delta—Suzhou.

From June 16 to 18, 2011, the 5th China International Logistics Technology & Services Expo was held in Suzhou International Expo Center, and Toyota brought its newly launched 8 series battery forklifts to the expo. Besides the 8 series battery forklifts, Toyota also presented their Z series FDZN30 forklift, which was launched last year; reach truck 7FBR15; and RRE160M, SWE 140, LPE200 branded in BT.

Numbers of visitors stopped at the stand of Toyota to watch the forklifts, and Toyota collected the information of more than 160 potential customers. The visitors were deeply impressed by Toyota forklifts, giving high praises to the excellent quality of Toyota and BT forklifts. A General Manager from a famous logistics company in Suzhou Logistics Park showed extraordinary interests on the newly launched 8FBN16 forklift, enthusiastically inviting the person in charge from Toyota to negotiate the related issues of purchasing forklifts after the expo was closed.

“Through taking part in this expo, we left deeper and better impressions to the customers in Suzhou Logistics Park and Suzhou New and High-Tech Development Zone, which are all large-scaled logistics parks in Jiangsu Province,” said Manager Zheng from Suzhou Baohe Machinery & Equipment Co., Ltd. (dealer of Toyota forklifts in Jiangsu), “we will occupy more market shares of forklift industry in these logistics parks in the future.”

The newly launched 8 series battery forklifts started a new era for the usage of battery forklift. Toyota applied several innovative high technologies on the new series forklifts, such as dual-channel AC system was devised, bringing higher operational efficiency and longer operational intervals for the customers; OPS Operator Presence Sensing System, passing down the safety concept; and the latest active stability system for optional. The frame of the forklift made use of ergonomic designs, reducing the operator’s fatigue during the handling period.

Since the company acquired Sweden forklift manufacture BT in 2001, Toyota has been ranked the world's No. 1 forklift manufacturer in terms of forklift sales for successive nine years. This upgrade of forklift modes, undertaking for ten years, is believed to bring about a new revolutionary reform for battery forklifts.
